Leadership Development Collaboration with CIBC's McMasters Cohort

This week, I had the pleasure of working with Avid Learner and CIBC’s McMasters Cohort, focusing on enhancing their leadership skills through Strengths, Teamwork, and Strategic Vision. We delved deep into defining each leader's unique Leadership Brand by exploring their strengths, values, and perceptions. This foundational work linked directly to the Cohort’s purpose, strengthening team awareness and cohesion.

A significant part of our session was dedicated to Strategic Vision, particularly in identifying important problems before jumping to solutions. We emphasized the importance of understanding issues thoroughly, utilizing effective stakeholder dialogue and mutual understanding to add value to the organization.

With CIBC’s mission, “Help Make Your Ambition a Reality” as our guiding star, the McMasters Cohort demonstrated unity and a one-team mindset, essential in shaping and developing CIBC’s future leaders.

Special thanks to Annie Mulock Westbrook and Jill Sterling for their passion, dedication, and attention to detail. Their efforts were instrumental in bringing this cohort to ‘the Burgh”, enriching our discussions and learning experiences. And shout out to David Huffer and Bonnie Wenk at Avid Learner for their partnership, collaboration and urgency!

How are you leveraging your leadership strengths within your teams? I’d love to hear about your approaches and successes.
